Attraction: Ravensburger Spieleland (Amusement Park)

Updated: Aug 8, 2023

Large amusement park for younger kids with over 70 attractions. Ravensburg, near Constance (Germany).

Final verdict: Highly Recommended for younger kids (3-10)*

The "it" factor

What makes it special:

What needs to be considered:

  • Primarily targeting younger kids - only a limited number of attractions are aimed at teenagers and parents

  • It is a large park. It can be challenging to see all sections in one day

  • Sun exposed

  • Can get crowded on days off

The fun factor

If you are a Ravensburger games fan, you are in for a treat. Many attractions are themed around their games such as Labyrinth, Bugs in the Kitchen (Kakerlakak), Funny Bunny (Lotti Karotti), Cat and Mouse (Max Mäuseschreck), Memory and more. And even if you or your kids have never heard about these games, I am sure you'll enjoy discovering them.

Ravensburger Spieleland is a perfect place for small kids. The park recommends a 2-12 age range and even though there are some attractions with no age limit and a few for older kids, I believe that the best age for this park is between 3 - 10 years old. Our little one was 3.5 when we visited the park and could go on many attractions by herself and on most of them with us. Carousels and tractor rides were a big hit.

We really liked that many of the attractions are interactive and some even competitive. Little car fans (and their parents!) will enjoy the Car Service station where you can change the tires in a life-size toy-car using Bosch tools. Kids can also take a mini tractor into a car wash or move gravel using supersized BRIO diggers. Animal lovers will get to practice their cow milking skills, and the whole family can ride in fire trucks and compete to see who will put off fires fastest.

Ravensburger Spieleland is packed with themed playgrounds - trains, planes, pirates and more. There are also huge jumping pillows, small water playgrounds, baseball and football fields, barefoot path, a small indoor playground and more! They are nicely spread out around the park so kids can mix fun attractions and physical activities.

Around mid-way through our stay in the park, we were happy to discover water-based relaxing attractions - pirates boat rides and peddling boats. We could rest a bit and recover energy for the remaining action.

There are some attractions from 4 years old and a few (e.g. 4d cinema, spinning roller-coaster, alpine rafting) - from 6 years old. These are also great for parents! We left our daughter with the grandma and tried out some of them - Fun!

And if you're looking for one more thrill there are some very high slides (up to 35 meters!).

The comfort factor

If you want to enjoy the park for more than one day, you can stay in the park hotel. We chose to stay in a Gut Huegle family adventure farm which is 7 minutes drive away, and combine it with a visit to the Ravensburger games interactive museum.

The food factor

There are 2 large restaurants and many snack bars. These are open on specific times, depending on the amount of people. During lunch time the chance are quite high for them to be open but any other time, check the monitors around the park for opening hours. They offer kids menus (with sweet potato chips which I am a huge fan of) and all the other standard items (also salads).

The value factor

Ravensburger Spieleland

In 2023 the price for adults was 42.50€ and 40.50€ per child. We stayed at the Gut Huegle family adventure farm and got tickets at a reduced price (36€).

This is on the expensive side for amusement parks but the size and number of activities make it worth it. I recommend to get there early to have time to check out as much of the park as possible.

Ravensburger Amusement Park (Spieleland) - practical info

  • The park is quite large. If you're not spending a full day there, consider planning ahead which attractions you want to visit. This is especially true with very young kids who tend to move slowly.

* How does the rating work?

As it is unfair to compare different types of activities, each one is evaluated against similar in its category (e.g. themed hikes are compared against themed hikes). The scoring is completely subjective. Activities scored 4 (recommended) or 5 (highly recommended) are considered as best in class and worth a visit.
